Oceanfront Brunch – Now at Grey Havens Inn

Sunday Brunch with Waterfront Views

Grey Havens is excited to announce the addition of a Sunday Brunch.

Join us on Sunday for brunch!  In addition to our regular brakfast menu, enjoy our signature egg benedicts.   We always have the traditional eggs benedict, and our florentine (with spinach, mushroom and tomatoes), and our chef will have his special benedict of the day.  They are all mouth watering and sure to please!  What could be more enjoyable than relaxing in our waterfront dining room, looking at the ocean while sipping on a Champagne cocktail, Mimosa or Bloody Mary?  Every Sunday from 8:00 am – 1:00pm.  Reservations definitely recommended.

Whether you envision a large reception or a small, intimate affair, we are here for you.  The Grey Havens Inn can accommodate up to 115 guests for a wedding, and offer sit-down, buffet, and passed hors d’oeuvres as part of our dining options.

Our porch wraps the inn on the ocean side.  Tables can be placed here, as well as in our dining room, for wedding guests.  Our living room is a perfect area for passed hors d’oeuvres, with its amazing stone fireplace and incredibly large window overlooking the ocean.  Our lawn is large and lush.  There is a perfect spot here for a ceremony with the ocean as its backdrop.

Wedding weekends are always relaxed and families find that to be in the same place for two days is preferable to the driving and arranging of schedules which often places so much stress on the final days prior to a wedding celebration.  Friends and family who have gathered from all over love being able to linger over breakfast, talk by the fire, or sit on the porch uninterrupted.

The Grey Havens Inn is a historic Maine Hotel, Restaurant and Bed & Breakfast on the coast of Maine, in scenic Georgetown.

Renovation Update – Photos

Our remodeling project is in full swing!  Here are some photos of the work in progress, taken on March 5th, 2011. As you can see, we have a lot of the inn ripped up. We’re replacing all the bathroom fixtures and giving Grey Havens a top-to-bottom renovation.

The New Grey Havens Website Has Launched

The new greyHavens.com website is now live.

Newly renovated and updated, our website is here to serve you.

We’ve got quite a few remodeling projects going here at the Grey Havens Inn.  We’re refurbishing all our rooms, completely remodeling all of our bathrooms, adding a new bar and updating the restaurant.

On top of that, we’ve given our website a complete update as well. Like many projects, the new site is a work in process. Fortunately, website remodeling doesn’t generate a whole lot of sawdust.

In the coming weeks we’ll be adding lots of new information and keeping you up to date on our renovations. Here are some things you can expect to see on the site in the coming weeks:

  • New room photos, showing you our newly updated rooms and suites.
  • Information on our new restaurant, chef and menus.
  • Updated photo galleries.
  • Things To Do in the Area – Ideas for making the most of your visit.

As they say, “Watch this space for updates!”

The Grey Havens Inn Is Under New Management

The Grey Havens Inn was sold in December 2010 and is now under new management.

The new owners previously owned and operated the Inn at Harbor Head in Cape Porpoise, Maine from 1998-2008.  After a three year absence from the hospitality scene, Eve & Dick Roesler realized just how much they missed the ocean and providing their guests with memorable experiences.

They decided to go in search of another perfect spot on the coast of Maine.  This search led them to the Grey Havens Inn, truly one of the most spectacular properties on the coast of Maine.  The new owners are in the process of  renovating and updating the Inn, while keeping its historical heritage.

You can follow their progress here in the News Section at GreyHavens.com.  They plan to reopen the Inn in May for the 2011 season and are now accepting reservations for the 2011 season.
