The O’Heas will be bringing their culinary creativity to “Blue” at Grey Havens Inn on Sunday, September 8th, 2013 at 6:00 PM for a special tasting menu paired with a hand-picked selection of unique Austrian Wines. The price for the dinner is $70 per person, not including tax and gratuity. The number of tables is limited, so please call us to make a reservation. Linger at this elevated spot and soak in fir-lined islands and broad ocean views bordered by manicured lawns and gardens. The building is a classic Maine shingle-style “cottage” (read: mansion) with a picture-postcard view.

Eventually, you’ll want to go inside to where your table is waiting. Blue is the restaurant at the inn, serving dinner and  May through October.

New owners have beautifully renovated and updated the turreted inn…

…service was unfailing in all aspects of our dinner, including the timing of dishes from the kitchen….

…The atmosphere gives a nod to the inn’s tradition of hosting visitors for the better part of a century…

…May I suggest a terrific Maine outing? Pack the towels and head to Reid State Park a mile away, enjoy the beach, then clean up a bit and meander over to Grey Havens Inn as the sun wanes.

Order a glass of wine on the porch, get the fried goat cheese with figs (ask for crackers so you can share this creamy goodness with friends), and if the thought of moving down the road is too painful (it will be), wander inside for a taste of Blue.

There will certainly be enough to keep you happy.
