We were Eve and Dick’s second wedding at the Grey Havens Inn, after their complete renovation. We wish we could say we were the first, so we’d be as special to them as they and the Inn are to us! We never thought we could have created an affordable wedding at this gorgeous waterfront location. But Eve worked with us to make it possible and truly made our dream wedding come true! It was literally the happiest day of my life. When the photographer tried to take a serious photo of us, I just couldn’t make it happen, my face just couldn’t stop smiling! My husband and I were so happy with how the entire weekend went that we both woke up at 4:30am and lay in bed talking about every detail and how perfect everything was, until 6:30am, when we accepted that we weren’t going back to sleep and got up to have breakfast with our family. We can’t thank Eve and her staff enough. They did an incredible job making the entire weekend special for us. And they don’t simply rely on their fantastic water views. Their food gets just as much attention and the effort is always hugely successful. People especially raved about the seafood chowder! We’re from Maine, but having our celebration at the Grey Havens Inn was like having a destination wedding. We were able to make the little castle ours for the entire weekend, from the rehearsal dinner on Friday to the brunch on Sunday. Our immediate family and wedding party was able to stay at the Inn and everyone else found places very close by, as near as next door! We’re so fortunate to live within an hour of the Inn, so we have been able to go back to visit Eve and the Grey Havens Inn several times since. Eve always remembers us and makes an effort to spend a few minutes with us individually, continuing to make each visit special! On the weekend of our wedding, we were already planning our 10 year reunion weekend there, to bring our friends and family back together. We will always love the Grey Havens Inn!!
