Room Descriptions

The inn has two large common rooms. Both have remarkable views of Sheepscot Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Most of our furnishings are antiques of a comfy "cottagey" sort. We can accommodate up to 135 guests for a wedding depending on the way you choose to serve food. Our porch wraps the inn on the ocean side, and half of it is screened. Tables for forty can be placed here; and room for another 30-60 can be accommodated in the dining room. There is no room for seated dining in our living room; however, passed hors d'oeuvres are permitted in this lovely room with its amazing stone fireplace and incredibly large window overlooking the ocean. Our lawn is large and a little bit wild. There is a perfect spot here for a ceremony with the ocean as its backdrop.

 Grey Havens is an ideal location for weddings, family reunions and corporate retreats.

Wedding weekends are always relaxed and families find that to be in the same place for two days is preferable to the driving and arranging of schedules which often places so much stress on the final days prior to a wedding celebration. Friends and family who have gathered from all over love being able to linger over breakfast, talk by the fire, or sit on the porch uninterrupted.
